Entrare in casa e sentire "profumo di buono" è un desiderio antico, forse quanto lo scorrere naturale delle stagioni. E forse solo Alessi poteva creare qualcosa di veramente nuovo e speciale unendo due temi classici come questi. Questa primavera infatti è portatrice di novità che ci permetteranno di sintonizzare i ritmi della vita domestica con quelli dell'ambiente circostante. Se già l'home decor si trasforma nel corso dell'anno, ora sarà anche il profumo nell'aria a sottolinearne le trasformazioni: è questo il concept alla base di The Five Seasons, il primo capitolo dell'Enciclopedia Alessi dedicato appunto all'Home Fragrance, scritto a quattro mani con Marcel Wanders.
Nascono così cinque fragranze dai nomi altamente evocativi: l'Inverno ci farà fare "Brrr" con una profumazione fresca e brillante; la Primavera ci sorprenderà come ogni anno - "Ahhh" - con la sua fioritura fresca e delicata; l'Estate avrà note calde e invitanti da assaporare in un "Hmm"; infine l'Autunno, "Grrr", un mix di incenso, muschio e legno di cedro. A queste quattro si aggiunge la stagione della Trascendenza, enigmatica e avvolgente: "Shhh"!
Come si diffondono queste fragranze nell'ambiente? Anche il design è innovativo e ispirato alla natura. Ramoscelli di foglie in legno di mogano, porcellana, pietra lavica sono solo alcuni degli elementi che solleticano olfatto, tatto, vista e ironia.
Novità principale, nonché elemento cardine della collezione, è il Diffusore a foglie in legno di mogano sapelli, scelto per la sua porosità e per il colore che valorizza la silhouette del disegno. La forma delle foglie varia in base alle stagioni, così come il colore del contenitore in porcellana, bianco per le quattro stagioni e nero per la Trascendenza.
Non possono mancare le Candele profumate, diventate ormai oggetto di culto per gli appassionati di home fragrance. Per The Five Seasons sono proposte in materiali deluxe: cera vegetale "Made in Italy", priva di componenti di origine animale, con stoppino in cotone e lino, custodita in un contenitore di porcellana bianco o nero chiuso da un coperchio in legno di frassino decorato prodotto da artigiani della Valle Strona, una zona del lago d'Orta vicina alla sede di Alessi.
Un rituale antico rivive invece nella raffinata ampolla in vetro, su cui è serigrafato il nome dell'essenza in essa contenuta, del Nebulizzatore spray per ambiente. Un lusso adatto alla casa di dandy moderni, o di chi ama circondarsi di oggetti dal fascino classico ed elegantissimo.
Solo per la stagione della Trascendenza, con la sua suggestiva fragranza "Shhh", è proposto il Diffusore per ambiente a pietra lavica. Una mise-en-scène originale e di grande impatto, con un lapillo di pietra lavica nera proveniente dalla Sardegna adagiato su di un piccolo vassoio in legno di frassino, e accompagnato da un dosatore a gocce di olio essenziale.
Infine, due "Objets-Bijoux", entrambi realizzati in zama cromata: il Portacandela/ tappo per bottiglia "Smack", che svela la sua doppia funzione, sulla tavola come portacandela per una cena romantica, o in cucina come tappo per una conservazione ottimale del vino; lo Spegni candela "Bzzz", una piccola adorabile ape che posandosi sulla fiamma la estingue senza generare fumo, evitando che si crei odore di bruciato.

And maybe only Alessi could create something really new and special by combining two classic themes like these. This spring, in fact, is the bearer of innovations that will allow us to tune the rhythms of domestic life with those of the surrounding environment. If the home decor is transformed during the year, now the perfume in the air will underline its transformations: this is the concept behind The Five Seasons, the first chapter of the Alessi Encyclopaedia dedicated to the Home Fragrance, written with Marcel Wanders.
Five fragrances are born with highly evocative names: Winter will make us say "Brrr" with a fresh and brilliant fragrance; Spring will surprise us like every year - "Ahhh" - with its fresh and delicate bloom; Summer will have warm and inviting notes to savor in a "Hmm"; finally the Autumn, "Grrr", a mix of incense, musk and cedar wood. To these four is added the enigmatic and enveloping season of Transcendence: "Shhh"!
How do these fragrances spread in the environment? Their design is as well innovative and inspired by nature. Leaf twigs in mahogany, porcelain and lava stone are just some of the elements that tickle smell, touch, sight and irony.
The main news, as well as the cornerstone of the collection, is the Leaf diffuser in sapelli mahogany wood, chosen for its porosity and for the color that enhances the silhouette of the design. The shape of the leaves varies according to the season, as well as the color of the porcelain container, white for the four seasons and black for the Transcendence.
The scented candles cannot fail, now become a cult object for home fragrance fans. For The Five Seasons they are proposed in deluxe materials: "Made in Italy" vegetable wax, free of components of animal origin, with cotton and linen wick, stored in a white or black porcelain container closed by a decorated ash wood cover produced by artisans of the Valle Strona, an area of the Orta Lake near the headquarters of Alessi.
An ancient ritual revives instead in the refined glass ampoule, on which the name of the essence contained in it is screen-printed, of the Spray atomizer for the environment. A luxury suitable for the home of modern dandy, or those who love to surround themselves with objects of classic and elegant charm.
Only for the season of the Transcendence, with its suggestive "Shhh" fragrance, is proposed the Lava stone diffuser for environment. An original mise-en-scène of great impact, with a lapillus of black lava stone from Sardinia lying on a small ash wood tray, and accompanied by a dripper with drops of essential oil.
Finally, two "Objets-Bijoux", both made of chrome-plated zamak: the "Smack" candle-holder / bottle cap, that reveals its dual function, on the table as a candle holder for a romantic dinner, or in the kitchen as a cap for optimal storage of wine; the Candle snuffer "Bzzz", a small adorable bee that settles on the flame and extinguishes it without generating smoke, avoiding the creation of a burning smell.
