One thing Donald Trump repeated/promised/threatened during his campaign was that he would hire a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton and even told her during the second presidential debate that if he was in office, she'd be in jail.
"If I win, "I'm going to instruct the attorney general to get a special prosecutor to look into your situation because there's never been so many lies, so much deception," he told Clinton. "We're going to get a special prosecutor because people have been, their lives have been destroyed for doing one fifth of what you've done."
But during tonight's interview with 60 Minutes, Leslie Stahl asked Trump if he was indeed going to do this,Trump said ehhhhhhh, he also has a loooooot of other stuff going on, sooooooo, we'll see?
"Are you going to ask for a special prosecutor to investigate Hillary Clinton over her emails?" Stahl asked. "And are you, as you had said to her face, going to try and put her in jail?"
"Well, I'll tell you what I'm going to do, I'm going to think about it," Trump answered. "Um, I feel that I want to focus on jobs, I want to focus on healthcare, I want to focus on the border and immigration and doing a really great immigration bill. We want to have a great immigration bill. And I want to focus on all of these other things that we've been talking about...And get the country straightened away."
But will he actually appoint a special prosecutor? Weeeeelllll: "I don't want to hurt them, I don't want to hurt them," he said. "They're, they're good people. I don't want to hurt them. And I will give you a very, very good and definitive answer the next time we do 60 Minutes together."
