You're never too young to start exercising your right to peacefully protest — something former first daughter Chelsea Clinton knows very well.
On Sunday, the 36-year-old mother of two took her younger daughter, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, to the 2-year-old's very first protest, the "Today, I Am a Muslim Too" rally in New York City. Clinton then took to Twitter to voice how grateful she was for those who organized the event, which protested President Donald Trump's temporary ban on all refugees as well as travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries.
"Thank you to all who organized #IAmAMuslimToo today — Charlotte's 1st protest rally. #NoBanNoWallNoRaids," she wrote, along with a photo of the crowd.
The mother-daughter pair were just two of an estimated 1,000 who gathered in Times Square on Sunday, including co-hosts Russell Simmons and Mayor Bill DeBlasio. Here are just a few other inspiring posts from other attendees.
