Another week, another British pop star obsession — only this time the obsession has lasted for more than a year. Marina & The Diamonds has everything: a unique voice, an amazing sense of style, and a fresh take on pop that will rock your world.
While I was already a huge fan of her eclectic style, she blew me away when she came to our interview wearing a vintage pink sequin top, bright blue custom-made pants (she has pairs in five different colors), and "tacky" — her words, not mine — white heels from a cheap store on Hollywood Boulevard. Currently opening for Katy Perry's Teenage Dream tour, Marina took time out to meet with me at her hotel where we chatted about her boy crushes and musical influences and bonded over our mutual love of The Queen — not Elizabeth, Madonna. Needless to say, she had me at hello.
