I have a quarterly ritual of browsing Gap's site, taking stock of what seasonal items have landed, and refreshing a basic or two. This year, however, the brand has crossed my desk much more often than every three months. With Zac Posen on the team, collaborations with Hailey Bieber, and fun campaigns with emerging artists, I'm loving everything the Gap is putting out. There are many great pieces to shop, but for this roundup, I want to focus on the basics Gap does so well. Its denim collection offers a wide variety of silhouettes, washes, and styles; its tops prove you don't need to spend more than $50 on a white tee; and right now, its fragrance launch is the talk of the town. To shop my 16 favorites, keep reading.
Fall Denim
Denim remains a wardrobe classic, but here are the specific denim trends I'm seeing this season: Colored washes (like brown and purple), low-rise waistlines (I can't believe it either), and bootcut styles (just in time). The cuts and washes are up to personal preference, but if you're looking for a more on-trend style, try any of these.
Tops and Sweaters
I was eager to pull out last year's sweaters from storage, only to find a few holes in my most-loved styles—so I had a good excuse to purchase a few new ones from Gap. The brand's CashSoft line is well-deserving of its name. Made with cozy materials, these under-$100 pieces are all you'll want to wear as we head into the colder months.
Accessories + Fragrance
Now that you've gotten your apparel sorted, allow me to turn your attention to the brand's newest categories. This is the season of tote bags, and these utility styles are some of my favorites. In the beauty department, Gap's new scents are so luxe and transportive. The Om Eau de Parfum is my choice for its warm, rich, and woody scent. It's simply perfect for fall.
