During a recent interview with Conan O'Brien, Ashton Kutcher, 38, talked about the naming of his second child with his former That '70s Show costar Mila Kunis, 33, who is due to arrive soon. The couple already have a beautiful two-year-old daughter named Wyatt Kutcher and the Ranch star recently revealed the sex of baby number two.
Agreeing on a name is a tough exercise for any couple, and Ashton and Mila are no exception. Kutcher had a unique idea for name, but Kunis shot it down. "There was a rallying cry from a collective that believed in the name Hawkeye," he explained. Yes, he wanted to name his son Hawkeye Kutcher.
There were a couple of reasons why he liked the name. "I'm an Iowan," he said, referring to his home state. "And it's, like, M*A*S*H," he joked of the eponymous '70s TV character. "He could be a doctor!"
Mila, however, wasn't so enthusiastic about the name. "Hawkeye Kutcher didn't fly, it didn't get across the Mila threshold," the actor told O'Brien.
However, the couple did agree on a name for the baby boy, which the actor didn't reveal. "We have a name dialed in, which we've had for a while," he told O'Brien on Wednesday. But it sounds like they might be having second thoughts.
"The problem is, if you get the name too soon, there can be slight trepidation around the name," Kutcher said. "Now we're like, 'Maybe we don't like the name,' even though we both love the name. So, I think we have the name," he added.
Whatever moniker the couple decides on, there's no doubt Wyatt's new baby brother will be just as adorable.
