3 Spring Shoes We're Already Styling (Really Well For That Matter)

Our in-office days can be a dangerous place for me and my wallet because I'm surrounded by some of the most well-dressed New Yorkers to date. The outfit inspiration never lacks and I'm quick to take notes (and sometimes make online purchases). This week's latest conversation of "omg, where'd you get that?" comes from spotting Fashion Editor, Lauren K. Tappan's, new set of spring shoes. She wore the chicest slingbacks, the cutest fisherman sandals, and the most covetable western boots I've seen yet this season—and I was eager to learn where they were from. She's no gatekeeper, and was quick to sing the praises of Nine West for their endless selection of on-trend styles, always at a great price point. To see just what I'm talking about, keep scrolling to shop her spring footwear favorites and get your daily dose of outfit inspiration below.
“Nine West’s Mella slingbacks might just be my new favorite pair of office-friendly shoes. The shiny finish and gold hardware give off a super elevated feel, so I decided to style this look with a tailored blazer, a soft collared top, and a pair of slightly pleated shorts. (If your office setting leans more towards the formal side, I would recommend swapping shorts for a pair of floor-grazing trousers). Given that the shoes are ivory-colored, I stuck with a neutral color palette for the rest of my outfit, opting for shades of beige, cream, and butter yellow (which just so happens to be a trending color this spring season). As for accessories, I kept things simple with gold jewelry and a ruched handbag.” — Lauren K. Tappan, Fashion Editor
“When I think of a fisherman shoes, comfort automatically comes to mind. So for this particular outfit, I was inspired to put together a laid-back look that I can wear for any casual springtime outing. I layered a cream sweater vest over a simple white T-shirt, slipped into a pair of relaxed denim shorts, and styled Nine West’s Anybel fisherman sandals with white socks to add a pop of contrast. I coordinated my shoes with the rest of my accessories by way of a black handbag and pair of sleek black shades. I love the way this look came together so effortlessly, but above all, I’m obsessed with how cozy these shoes are. The platform sole provides the perfect amount of cushioning, and walking around all day in these sandals was such a breeze.” - Tappan
“If I had to share one tip from my style playbook, I’d say that you can never go wrong with an all-black look for an evening out. As soon as I saw these embroidered boots, I immediately started dreaming up ways that I can incorporate them into my going-out wardrobe. Although I had plenty of ideas, I ultimately decided to go for an easy combination of a tube top, a leather skirt, and a denim jacket. I specifically chose leather and denim to stay on theme with the Western-inspired feel of this edgy outfit. When the weekends roll around, you’ll likely find me wearing these boots on repeat.” - Tappan
