"Amy, who are you?" is Gone Girl's million dollar question. So, it's no surprise that Nick (Ben Affleck) leads with that question when he first meets his future wife Amy (Rosamund Pike). Their first encounter has been unveiled in a new clip, which finds the couple at a friend's birthday party, engaging in a playful, almost sinister tête--tête.
Always one for ambiguity, Amy, beer in hand, poses three different identity types to her newly minted love interest to choose from: A) Award-winning scrimshander B) Moderately-influential warlord C) Writer of personality quizzes for magazines. What answer does Nick go with? You'll have to watch and find out.
Gone Girl, David Fincher's film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel, hits theaters October 3, 2014. Preview Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' soundtrack for the movie here.
