Need to Meet: Rebecca Hall

English actress Rebecca Hall has both Hollywood and London in her pocket. Here the regal beauty answers our questionnaire.

Brilliant, statuesque Londoner Rebecca Hall, 27, earned raves stateside as Scarlett Johansson's demure travel buddy in Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Now, the daughter of Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall plays a doting radiologist in the bitchy-but-heartfelt chick-flick Please Give. Here, the regal beauty answers the MC questionnaire:

MC: What do you wish you knew five years ago?

RH: That wearing heels wouldn't make me feel any taller. When I was 22, I thought I couldn't wear heels because of my height.

MC: How tall are you?

RH: I'm 5'10". I just finished filming The Town with Ben Affleck. My whole career I've been crouching in flats. But this movie had a bunch of giants — both Ben and Jon Hamm are very tall. When the cinematographer said, "Would you mind terribly if you stood on a ladder in the next shot?", I put my arms in the air and whooped.

MC: What's your favorite indulgence?

RH: Watching movies at home with chocolate, red wine, and blankets.

MC: Your favorite drugstore makeup?

RH: Maybelline mascara — the classic pink-and-green one.

MC: What superpower would you most want to have?

RH: Teleporting so that I could travel without having to get on a plane.

MC: Signature drink?

RH: I'm quite fond of Pinot Noir, but that's terribly embarrassing to say post-Sideways.

MC: What's the highlight of the best vacation you've ever taken?

RH: In Italy, a bunch of friends and I went skinny-dipping in the ocean during a lightning storm. It sounds dangerous, but it was exquisitely beautiful and amazing.
