Michelle Obama Releases Her First Rap Video and It's Even Better Than Her Mom Dancing

Definitive proof the First Lady knows how to turn up.

We already know Michelle Obama's got rhythm and knows how to turn up. Now, she's showing that she can rap, too, in a new video created with College Humor and SNL's Jay Pharoah (who's impersonated President Obama). The track is all about inspiring kids to go to college and features the First Lady doing all the tropes you'd see in a music video.

Enthusiastic hand gestures:

A shot of her recording in the "studio":

Her verse: "Southside Chicago, we all know, we had to do overtime every night to make it tomorrow. And everyone could really make their dream true. Hey, kid listenin' in Michigan that could be you!"

Dancing (and that low camera angle):

The music video is a collaboration supporting the First Lady's Better Make Room campaign supporting higher education. Watch the whole thing, below!
