Photos: Students Across the Country Stage Powerful School Walkouts to End Gun Violence
On the one-month anniversary of the Parkland shooting, students and teachers have taken to the streets to demand stricter gun laws while honoring the 17 lives lost.
On February 14, 2018, 14 students and three faculty members were murdered at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. One month later, students, teachers, and administrators across the country are fearlessly leaving their classrooms to protest gun violence nationwide. Organized by Women's March Youth Empower, over 2,800 protests will last 17 minutes—with each minute dedicated to a life lost in Parkland. See the powerful photos of students demanding safety in their classrooms and their communities, ahead.
