This week's episode of Big Girl in a Skinny World features another makeover! Claire is a working girl who was looking to take her career to the next level. I love challenges like these because the worst thing is a lack of self-awareness, especially when it comes to style, so having a charge who knows they need some help is ideal.
How you dress in the workplace can have a great deal of impact on your ability to perform, get promotions, and possibly even get other jobs. It was a fun task to outfit Claire and get her into some sophisticated looks that were still youthful, but said, "I mean business."
Don't be afraid to wear color to work and get playful with your accessories, but do take cues from those around you. If you work in a conservative work place, that doesn't have to mean boring! Tweeds are very in for fall and very Jackie O. If your workplace lends itself to a little more creativity, have fun with houndstooth and prints like chainmail and birds. All in all, takes notes and remember that style has no size (and no limits in the cubicle.)
