Katy Perry's "Chained to the Rhythm" Video Is a Political Call to Action

Katy Perry performed her new single "Chained to the Rhythm" at the Grammys, and made it pretty abundantly clear that it's much more than your new winter dance jam.

"Chained to the Rhythm" is Perry's version of a social wake-up call, and the video is equal parts "signature Katy Perry fun times" (so many bright pops of color!) and political allegory. Set in a futuristic amusement park, Perry goes on rides spotlighting the crumbling the downfall of the American Dream, until she ends up waking up to the fact that we're all "living in a bubble."
