- Lizzo just shared an "unedited" naked Instagram selfie to help "change the conversation about beauty standards."
- She's been a long-time advocate for body positivity and against fat shaming.
- The singer said it was important to celebrate her body "au natural" on social media.
Lizzo has been a voice for body positivity practically since she became famous. In a stunning new photo, which she posted to Instagram this week, Lizzo is completely nude and hanging out in a chair. Her hair—with new bangs!—is artfully arranged to cover her breasts, and she’s holding a coffee cup that’s either shaped like a butt or boobs.
"♉️WELCOME TO TAURUS SEASON♉️," Lizzo wrote in the caption. "To celebrate I wanna give y’all this unedited selfie.. now normally I would fix my belly and smooth my skin but baby I wanted show u how I do it au natural." Lizzo also shared that she’s sharing the picture to celebrate the Dove Self Esteem Project to help "change the conversation about beauty standards."

Fans of the singer were all about it in the comments. "Queen ily," one person wrote. "Yesssss," said another.
Lizzo has been a body positivity queen for years, with plenty of social media posts to prove it. In March, she shared a TikTok on why videos about fat girls who are active and eat well matter. "These videos are important to show every single body is different and how it functions is different," she said. "What really bothers me are the fake doctors in the comments saying oh you have this or you might have this condition... No! What if I'm just fat? What if this is just my body? Bodies are not all designed to be slim with a six pack."
Lizzo also referenced her love of "nature’s cereal," a.k.a. fruit and coconut water. "You know what I mean? I know I'm eating pomegranates and coconut water. It's my favorite, shut up," she said. She ended on this very Lizzo note: "If you're feeling down on yourself today, just remember that your body is your body. Nobody got yo body, so enjoy that b****."
She also dropped a TikTok workout video in June. "if you’re not a fat shamer... keep scrolling... ok now that all the fat shamers are here 🧚🏾♀️✨," she wrote in the caption. "Hey. So I've been working out consistently for the last five years, and it may come as a surprise for some of y'all, but I'm not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type," she says in the video. "And you know what type that is? None of your f*cking business. Because I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job, and I stay on my job."
PREACH.
