TWP Has a New Definition of Workwear

Spring 2027’s elevated, functional 9-to-5 wardrobe is right this way.

The definition of workwear has become increasingly fluid, and TWP’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection offers a compelling new vocabulary for what getting dressed can look like now. Rather than relying on the familiar shorthand of corporate tailoring, the collection approaches utility with a softer hand: relaxed proportions, soft layers, and pieces that appear designed for a woman whose day refuses to fit neatly into a nine-to-five framework—you know, mothers, CEO's, and women about town. It’s polish without rigidity, practicality without sacrificing character. Women designing for women!

There’s also (always) a distinctly Western current running through the collection, though it never veers into costume territory. The references feel more atmospheric than literal—a little ranch, a hint of open road, a touch of country ease translated through TWP’s distinctly urban lens. Ruggedness is tempered by refinement, giving traditionally utilitarian ideas a certain nonchalance. The result feels particularly relevant to the modern woman: capable, mobile, and uninterested in clothing that requires her to choose between looking considered and actually living in it.

That tension between function and sophistication is where TWP’s new workwear codes become most interesting. Nothing feels aggressively “utility,” yet the sensibility is everywhere—in the ease of the silhouettes, the purposeful layering, and the sense that each piece has a job to do. You can see it in the carryall bags, flat, walkable shoes, knits for frigid office temperatures, and silhouettes that can work during the day and the night.

For Spring/Summer 2027, workwear becomes less about dressing for an office and more about dressing for a life in motion. TWP proposes a wardrobe that can clock in anywhere, borrowing from the country while remaining firmly attuned to the city.

    Senior Shopping Editor

Cortne Bonilla is Marie Claire’s Senior Shopping Editor, where she decodes the fashion landscape in real time—defining sartorial moments, identifying trends before they reach ubiquity, and distilling an increasingly oversaturated market into the pieces, designers, and ideas genuinely worth knowing. (She’s currently into the Interesting Minimalism aesthetic of contemporary brands.) She has over a decade of experience covering the fashion market, and over the course of her career, which spans previous roles as Senior Shopping Writer at Vogue, Fashion Market Editor at The Cut, and Fashion and Branded Content Editor at Editorialist, she has cultivated an editorial perspective rooted in both rigorous market intelligence and an instinctive understanding of fashion’s cultural vernacular.
