FACT: There's A Woman Knitting From Her Vagina (VIDEO)

Your grandmother's favorite craft has now been turned into feminist performance art courtesy of Casey Jenkins, an Australian artist who is knitting from a ball of wool she shoves daily inside her vagina. Yes, you read that sentence correctly.

The work of art, titled "Casting Off My Womb," features Jenkins knitting for 28 days in an Australian art gallery. She says the point of the project is to create an intimate experience with her body and challenge fears of female genitalia.

We have to admit that the notion of shoving wool up one's vagina does not seem like the most comfortable thing in the world, but Jenkins assures viewers otherwise. "It's unusual and confining because I'm attached to this knitting so I can't get up and wander around," she says in the video below. "It's restrictive but it's not painful. People push babies out of there so it's a pretty robust area."
