Supermodel Charlotte McKinney's stardom started on Instagram, before it was a thing everyone else was doing. At the age of 17, McKinney started modeling and struggled to find an agency that would accept her body type. So, she took to Instagram and created a career for herself. In 2015, her Carls Jr. commercial, which caught everyone's attention when it aired during the Super Bowl XLIX, took her career to the next level. Since then, she's appeared in films such as Baywatch and Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, while starring in major fashion campaigns. For our latest episode of Masked and Answered, the model shares her entire skincare routine and beauty secrets straight from her couch. Her mask of the moment: Dr. Barbara Sturm's Clarifying Mask ($145).
"It's my go-to lifesaver when I have a hormonal breakout," she says describing the mask. As soon as she wakes up in the morning, she chugs a ton of water, cleanses her skin with Dr. Barbara Sturm's Cleanser ($70), followed by her Balancing Toner ($75), Hyaluronic Acid Serum ($300), SPF 50 Drops ($145), and Face Cream Light($205). Dry brushing, which removes dead skin cells and gets your lymphatic system going, is another beauty ritual McKinney swears by. After dry brushing, she'll take a bath sprinkled with epsom salt and essential oils to relax. The final step: "I suffer from chronic pain and [Lord Jones' CBD Balm] is my go-to at nighttime to put all over my body and chill." Who else wants to copy this tonight? Same.
Craziest beauty treatment she's ever done? Dr. Jason Diamond, MD, based in Beverly Hills gave her a platelet-rich plasma treatment, also known as a vampire facial that uses microneedling and plasma from your own blood to heal and rejuvenate the skin. "I am glowing after putting my own blood back on my face," McKinney says in the video. The 26-year-old also let us in on her workout routine and go-to diet to stay healthy.
