FAQs
Does Ekster offer free shipping?
Yes, Ekster offers free standard shipping on US orders over $50. Orders ship from its warehouse within 1-2 business days, and standard delivery takes an estimated 2-6 business days. Priority shipping (2-4 business days) costs $10 and Express (1-3 business days) costs $28. The GRID Backpack carries an extra $15 shipping fee and the GRID Duffel Backpack $19.
What is the Ekster return policy?
Ekster accepts returns within 100 days of purchase, as long as items are unused and in their original condition with all parts and accessories. Email Ekster with your order number to get a prepaid return label. Refunds go back to your original payment method minus a flat $8.99 handling fee, but exchanges and store credit are free. Orders under $50 get store credit or an exchange instead of a refund, and custom-engraved pieces and free gifts can't be returned.
Does Ekster have a loyalty program?
Yes, ekster+ is free to join, and you earn 1 point per $1 spent from the start. After $250 of total spend you move up to Peak (1.5 points per $1, plus 50 bonus points), and after $500 to Summit (2 points per $1, plus 75 bonus points). You also get birthday points, early access to sales and member-only flash sales. Points expire 365 days after you earn them.
Does Ekster offer a student discount?
Yes, students get 20% off Ekster through Student Beans, which Ekster links to from its student discount page. Verify your student status with Student Beans to get a personal code, then enter it at checkout. UNiDAYS also lists an extra 20% off Ekster for members. Like other codes, it can't be combined with another promo code.
Does Ekster offer a military, healthcare or teacher discount?
Yes, active military, veterans, healthcare workers and teachers get 20% off through ID.me, as do students. Verify your status with ID.me from Ekster's group discounts page, and the discount is applied at checkout.
What warranty does Ekster offer?
Every Ekster product has a 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects, and Ekster will replace the product or send spare parts. The Cardholder Pro and Wallet Pro come with a lifetime warranty, and ekster+ members get a limited lifetime warranty. The warranty doesn't cover general wear and tear, or lost or stolen items.
Can I use more than one promo code at Ekster?
No, you can only use one promo code per order. Codes don't work on new drops, Outlet items or products already on sale. During some sales, such as its anniversary sale, Ekster applies the discount automatically, so you don't need a code.
Does Ekster have a referral program?
Yes, ekster+ members can give a friend $20 off their first Ekster order. If the friend spends at least $120 using your referral link, you get $20 plus 100 loyalty points. Your friend must be a first-time Ekster customer.
When does Ekster have sales?
Ekster usually runs sitewide sales around holidays and its own anniversary, and recent events have included a Labor Day wallet sale and an early holiday sale. Discounts during these events are applied automatically to eligible products. ekster+ members get early access to sales and members-only flash sales.
Hints and Tips
Buy the wallet as a bundle: Ekster's bundles pair a wallet with the add-ons most people buy anyway. The Ekster Wallet Bundle comes with a Wallet Pro, Tracker Card and Cash Clip, and the Cardholder Pro Bundle includes a Finder Card and Cash Clip, and both cost less than buying each piece separately. Bundles also take you past the $50 free shipping threshold.
Stock up on tracker cards for gifting: The Tracker Card works with both Apple and Android and slips into any wallet. Ekster has been running a buy 2, get 1 free deal on Tracker Cards, so a three-pack can cover stocking stuffers for the whole family.
Pick store credit if you might swap: Returning for a refund costs $8.99 in handling, but store credit and exchanges are free. If you're unsure about a color or size, choosing an exchange saves you the fee.
Verify your status before you shop: Students, teachers, healthcare workers and military get 20% off through ID.me or Student Beans. That's often better than a general code, but you can't add another promo code on top.
Join ekster+ before a big gift order: Points start at 1 per $1, and your past ekster.com orders are added when you create an account. Holiday gift shopping can get you to the $250 Peak tier, where you earn 1.5 points per $1 plus a 50-point bonus.
Send gifts without the price showing: Ekster leaves pricing off the packing slip when you send an item as a gift, so you can ship a wallet straight to the recipient.
What if my promo code doesn’t work?
Our team always tries to make sure any out-of-date sales or incorrect deals are not included on our pages. To do this, we check a few things, including:
- Trying the deal and checking if they are valid ourselves.
- Check we don’t have any unique, one-use promotions.
- Looking at the offer conditions to make sure you’ve got all the information.
However, there are occasions when details change or the sales may expire without us knowing. If this happens, be sure to contact us by emailing coupons.marieclaire@futurenet.com so we know.
How do we make money?
It’s completely free for customers to use the deals we have above. We’ll get a small percentage of the money spent as a commission from the retailer you shop at. As with most businesses, we do need to make money however this will never impact the price you pay. The brand will give us a small share of the profit for connecting you to them. This helps us keep going whilst saving you more money.
Simply put, the retailer makes a sale, we get a commission, and you get a deal.
