The Women Who Voted Against Health Care for Women

The Women Who Voted Against Health Care for Women

In case you missed it, Republicans in the House of Representatives pushed through a budget bill this past spring that included cutting off federal funds for Planned Parenthood. The move was a war on women, fueled by misinformation about federal funding and abortion. Under current law, federal funds for Planned Parenthood go to cancer screenings, STD tests, birth control, and other preventive services for women — not abortion. Thankfully, the bill did not make it past the Senate. Who exactly are the congresswomen who voted to defund Planned Parenthood? Marie Claire found out. If you, like us, have no desire to take a giant leap backward in reproductive health, then tell these women what you think:

Rep. Sandy Adams (R — FL)

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R — MN)

Rep. Diane Black (R — TN)

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R — TN)
