Website We Love: The Concerns of Mindy Kaling
One of our favorite comedy writers/actresses/girlfriend we wish we had just launched a new website.
Like many other women I know around-ish my age, I think Mindy Kaling and I would be fast friends. And I swear I don't mean that in some creepy Single White Female-y sort of way. We just have so much in common. First, I think she's hilarious as Kelly Kapoor on The Office, where she has also written some of my favorite episodes, including but not limited to "The Dundies" and "Secret Santa." She loves rom coms and Twitter as much as I do—and, like myself, isn't afraid to share her (possibly embarrassing) pop culture obsessions with everyone on the interwebs. She once played Ben Affleck in the off-Broadway show Matt and Ben which is just so genius I can hardly stand it. Plus, she's into sports and we even share some mutual pals. It's a perfect match if ever I did see one!
But on the off chance that this doesn't work out, we've all got another spot to get our fix of Kaling wit on the regular, her new website: The Concerns of Mindy Kaling. Years ago, Mindy had a super-cute blog called "Things I've Bought That I Love" and it was just as adorable and clever as you'd expect it to be. The site will have TIBTIL posts as well other topics and links. We're hoping for more sneak previews of her upcoming book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)because this one from The New Yorker was just not enough.
Do you also share delusions of BFF-dom with Mindy Kaling? Are you psyched to read her book? Share away!
