In all seriousness, celebrities and fashion girlies alike have been swapping their heels for flats of late, wearing them with everything from denim to slip dresses to tailored trousers. It's rare that a trend is also the easy choice, and as someone dealing with the aftermath of a foot injury, I turn to flats more than your average person. Luckily for me, fall 2026's lineup is more tempting than ever.
On my quest to find the best, I found brands getting delightfully playful with their flats—styles experimenting with form, color, and embellishments. In other words, flats that will elevate even the most basic of outfits.
