If you thought your family's Thanksgiving dinner was laced with political tension, it's nothing compared to the meal Donald Trump and Mitt Romney shared at Trump Tower last night. Twitter went nuts over the above photo, in which Trump beamed and Romney—well known as one of Trump's most vocal detractors—smiled with the terrified eyes of a hostage victim. We may never know exactly how their conversation went, but now we do know what they ate.

The trio began with young garlic soup with thyme and sautéed frog legs, followed by diver scallops with caramelized cauliflower and a caper raisin emulsion. Trump and his Chief of Staff Reince Priebus both ate prime sirloin for their main course, served with a citrus glaze and carrots. Romney, perhaps in a subtle show of rebellion, went with the lamb chops and mushroom bolognese sauce—but he joined the other two in a slice of chocolate cake for dessert, because nothing masks the taste of existential dread quite like chocolate cake.
