"75 rappers look exactly alike...but you want me to be copying other girls so bad."

Shine theory states that celebrating another's talents and accomplishments won't dull the significance of your own. The Final Five demonstrated this at this summer's Olympics, while Tinashe put it into practice more recently when she clapped back at an Instagram commenter who accused her of copying FKA Twigs.

It started out with the standard "I love you, but..." dig. "Your mixtapes are dope and your first album," user jgo613 wrote. "But damn girl, someone needs to get it together for you. Love the hair and outfit, but it's very much Twigs."

The "Company" singer replied with a paragraph on the hypocrisy—and sexism—of the statement, calling out cookie-cutter male rappers and the sad cultural practice of pitting women against one another in the process.
