Shop for Charity on Facebook

Catch up with your friends, poke your crush, post your status updates ... and donate to charity?

Blue Planet Run Foundation, a nonprofit organization that brings safe drinking water to those in need around the world, has partnered with Facebook for its Sell for a Cause initiative. We last told you about BPRF as we followed two Blue Planet Run participants as they blogged about their run around the world in an effort to help solve the water crisis. Now you can do your part on Facebook Marketplace, where you can buy and sell items to directly benefit charities like BPRF.

One-sixth of the world's population doesn't have access to safe drinking water, and 2.2 million people in developing countries die every year from diseases associated with lack of access to safe drinking water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene.

Making a difference is easy — just bookmark the Blue Planet Run Foundation Facebook landing page and your next Facebook Marketplace sale can help make a difference in the lives of millions of people.
