You probably know rapper Saweetie for her 2017 hit song "Icy Girl," and chances are you've caught her newer singles (our favorites: "My Type" and "Tap In"). The California-born artist also boasts a glowing complexion, and in the latest episode of Marie Claire's Masked and Answered, the Icy Girl herself shares how she achieves it. Saweetie breaks open her "magic mini cooler" to reveal her skincare guilty pleasure, what makes her feel the most beautiful, and her key to clear, glowing skin.
In the episode, Saweetie is masking 'n chilling in Tatcha's Violet-C Radiance Mask ($68), which is powered by vitamin C and AHAs to brighten and even out skin tone. "That vitamin C always gives me that glow," Saweetie says.
Saweetie then breaks down her morning skincare routine for oily skin for us: "In the morning I usually start off with something light so I like Drunk Elephant's Jelly Cleanser ($32), because it's nice and easy on the skin," she explains. The rapper then proceeds to tone her skin with Olehenricksen's Dark Spot Toner ($29) before moisturizing with Olehenricksen's C-Rush Brightening Gel Crème ($46) and then finishing up with Supergoop's Glow Screen($36).
The baby hair princess' guilty pleasure? Performing her own at-home facial complete with pimple extractions, she says. She also tells us that she feels most beautiful when she's makeup-free and her tan is poppin', and dubs her mother her biggest beauty icon. "I'm always going to my mom for product recommendations that may be good for my skin,"explains Saweetie.
