The 19 Best Perfumes of 2022 (So Far)
The scents Marie Claire editors are obsessing over.

Just like discovering and perfecting your personal style, finding your signature perfume takes time and plenty of trial and error. It often means that you spend too much time at your local perfume counter spritzing and smelling every new launch in search of the one: The fragrance you can wear day in and day out without tiring of it, until it becomes synonymous with who you are.
Still, that process can often leave you feeling like you've tried every perfume on the market. Not to mention, many people prefer to change their scents with the seasons. If you've found yourself signature scent-less and confused this year, allow me to introduce you to all of the new perfumes that have launched (or re-launched) so far in 2022. From fun, fruity blends to a few new heady floral options, this list will help you find your next new scent this year.
Make sure to bookmark this page and check back, because we'll be updating it as new products come out over the course of the next 10 months. I personally have found my new favorite scent after trying one of these, so magic can happen! And if none of the below options suit your fancy, check our list of the perfumes that launched in 2021.
If you love fresh, clean-smelling scents, this one from Maison Margiela's iconic REPLICA line is for you. Notes of spicy pine needle mix with rose petal to give you a scent that smells entirely unisex and lingers on the skin (and on your clothes). I've wore it nearly everyday because the scent is so synonymous with smelling good in an undiscernible way.
This scent is like summer encapsulated into a brightly-colored bottle. Fresh fig, pear, and orange blossom mingle with plum leaves and coconut for a bright, uplifting scent that smells best after some time spent in the sun.
This scent from recently relaunched brand PHLUR is the ideal meeting point between traditionally floral and fresh scents. Heady jasmine and freesia blends with bergamot and cassis leaves for a scent that warms to the skin and settles into a discreet, clean scent that last for hours.
A part of Dries Van Noten's newly-launched beauty line, this fragrance is described as being "elegant and joyful." Base notes of musk play with top notes of spearmint for a finished product that feels uplifting and clean.
diptyque's Do Son fragrance, which originally launched in 2005, is back in a limited-edition bottle. The scent itself was inspired by diptyque co-founder Yves Coueslant's childhood spent in Do Son in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Scents of the sea are blended with tuberose, orange blossom, and jasmine.
This new fragrance from Ralph Lauren Polo is vegan and is 97 percent natural origin. It's also free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial preservatives, and artificial colorants to boot. The unisex scent is comprised of seven sustainably-sourced fragrances including bergamot heart, lavender, green mandarin, Turkish rose, and Haitian vetiver.
