After their lavish, Italian affair of a wedding—complete with a large guest list of notables and plenty of paparazzi—we can't really blame George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin for seeking a bit of privacy following the festivities. But rather than jet off to the fairly private, Royal Family-approved Seychelles, as previously rumored, the couple has opted for an even more isolated honeymoon—by hunkering down for a two-week staycation in their mansion in the English countryside. No visitors allowed.
Us Weekly reports that even family guests aren't permitted to interrupt their post-nuptial bliss. In fact, the only outsiders they've seen are caterers, who come by to deliver their meals. (Because who has time to cook when you're spending two weeks completely alone in a British manor?)
The pair is expected to return to "normal life" next week—or as "normal" as life can be when you're one of these two. But good for them for opting for a little peace and quiet. After all, choosing a honeymoon spot when you're George Clooney is a bit like selecting a gift for the person who has everything.
