Wait, Young Meghan Markle Once Starred in a Tostitos Commercial?
And they gave her a totally different voice.

All the best princess fairy tales include a rags-to-riches story—though for soon-to-be-royal Meghan Markle, the “rags” part of her history is really just a commercial for Tostitos in 2009.

Yes, we Markle-obsessed editors at MarieClaire.com have unearthed a dormant clip of the Suits actress starring in a chip commercial from almost a decade ago, and it’s just as magical as you’d hope.
The ad opens up on Markle standing in the chip aisle of a grocery store, apparently making the world’s toughest decision on which chip to buy. “13 ingredients?” thinks a bewildered Meghan Markle with a woman’s voice that’s clearly not her own, “That’s more people than I invited to the party.”
She then mentally insults some poor dude named Gary for wearing “short shorts,” before picking up a bag of Tostitos chips, smiling at the three-ingredient label, and thinking, “Yeah.”
This, folks, is the stuff of Oscars. Markle had, by this point, already had a small part as a briefcase model in Deal or No Deal and was just a few years away from landing her breakout role as Rachel Zane on Suits. And, you know, a decade away from being a member of the royal family.
But in 2009, in the middle of a grocery store, Markle was just a woman about her snacks. Thank you, YouTube, for existing.
