Being married to a musician isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Just ask Chrissy Teigen. Sure, she gets to do cool things like join John Legend on tour and go backstage. She probably has an entire closet of VIP passes from John's past tours. But according to Chrissy, there is one downside to having this kind of access. "I know he has a beautiful voice and I know I am 'soooooo lucky' and blah blah but john's vocal warmups make me want to stab my brain," she tweeted on Monday.
Hours earlier, Chrissy revealed that she had successfully surprised John for Father's Day by sneaking up on him in Boston before his show. Here she is mid-surprise with a cake, because would you expect anything less from this food goddess? OMG, are those peanut butter cups?
But let's get back to Chrissy's very real words about John's warm-ups. When a fan (who goes by the handle of @TrumpsChinFat, FYI) asked her to describe the sounds that annoy her so, Chrissy offered this:
Chrissy's original tweet also caught the attention of Lena Dunham, who totally understands. (Sorry, Jack Antonoff.)
Of course, this led to Chrissy doing another tweet impression of John's warm-up noises.
Obviously the next thing Chrissy should do is post a clip of John's warm-ups, so the rest of us can be like, Oh yes, that is pretty awful. There should be a group for this, with Chrissy and Lena as the organizers. Meanwhile, I'll leave you with Celine Dion doing her warm-ups on Larry King, because it's all I can think of right now. Take it away, my queen.
