Remember the horrifying moment when Steve Harvey, bless him, mistakenly announced Miss Colombia as the winner of Miss Universe 2015? Well, after a few days of in-fighting between contestants, Miss Colombia has come forward with a statement.
The runner-up, whose crown was literally snatched off her head, says she's feeling okay about the gaffe, despite it being the most awkward pop culture moment of 2015.
"After the storm comes the calm," she said via Instagram. "My destiny was this. I was able to bring happiness to my country after becoming Miss Universe for only a couple of minutes... Today because of that COLOMBIA and the LATIN COMMUNITY are being talked about in every corner of the world. I also want to congratulate the Philippines for their new Miss Universe. The happiness that you must be feeling must be incredible."
