Totally Relatable Cool Dad Prince William Says "We Are a Normal Family"

Minus that whole crown and scepter thing.

Unlike most couples, Prince William and Kate Middleton are, ya know, royal. As in, they own crowns and have the words "Duke" and "Duchess" on their resumes. But hark, just because Will and Kate sit on a throne, it doesn't mean they aren't like the rest of us muggles—especially when it comes to their family.

"As far as we're concerned, within our family unit we are a normal family," Prince William recently told BBC. "I love my children the same way any father does and I hope George loves me the same way any son does to his father, so we are very normal in that sense."

William also stressed that he wants his kids to be good people, which is why he makes such an effort to balance his work/life schedule.

"I'm a new father and I take my duties and my responsibilities to my family very seriously," he explained. "I want to bring my children up as good people with the idea of service and duty to others as very important. But if I can't give my time to my children as well [as work], I worry about their future."

Word on the street is that children are the future (and in this case, future monarchs), so William's plan seems pretty solid.
