BHLDN's Bridesmaid Dress Quiz Will Help You Choose a Color in Less Than Three Minutes
BHLDN created a quick fun quiz to help you choose the color of your bridesmaid dresses. Find out more about the quiz and get bridesmaid dress inspiration ahead of your wedding day here.
As if the flowers and the cake and the venue and the music and the seating chart wasn't enough to think about (the list goes on, we know), choosing the perfect bridesmaid dress that will make everyone happy is probably the most difficult wedding planning feat of all. However, BHLDN—dreamy bridal company under the same umbrella as Anthropologie, Free People, and Terrain—is here to help with a quick fun bridesmaid color quiz.
The three-minute quiz will help you decide which color palette is the best option for your special day. "Your wedding dress portrays your personal style, but your bridesmaid color scheme inspires the look and feel of your entire day—so we understand how daunting it can be to choose one wedding color while planning a wedding," BHLDN states on the quiz's landing page.
And, yes, as much as you want all of your friends to be happy, at the end of the day it is your day, and you need to make a decision. Here are the quiz questions, in case you just can't wait:
- There’s a long weekend coming up. Where are you headed?
- What TV show are you binging tonight?
- Describe your perfect Sunday morning.
- You're buying perfume. You choose:
- What is your wedding cake like?
- An adjective that best describes your personal style is...
- Flowers at the farmer’s market! You pick:
- Pour me a...

The quiz will automatically generate the palette that's best suited for you, along with options to shop, based on your personality. Honestly, it's genius, and I've taken it three times already just to be sure it's accurate. (Naturally, I got black. Also, I'm not getting married.)
BHLDN says the company receives photos from real brides, and the quiz inspiration came from seeing which bridesmaid colors were chosen based on the venue and personal style. For example, they often see blue bridal parties at historic mansions or other traditional wedding venues. So, the blue bride is probably classic and a little preppy. She loves weekends on the coast, wearing J.Crew with a glass of red wine in hand. Her wedding will have traditional touches like a three-tiered white cake.
So, basically, you need to take the quiz now.
