New season, new fashion arrivals, but does anyone else feel stuck in the same fall outfit rut? Don’t get me wrong—I love a denim, sweater, and boot combo as much as the next girl, but this classic look is in desperate need of a 2023 spin, and it’s time to call in for backup. Every morning, I immediately scroll through my IG Saved folder for inspiration. Some would say I should meditate or drink lemon water instead, but looking at a good outfit gives me greater peace and creative vision. Lately, content creator Danielle Carolan has the inspiration I’m looking for. Her aesthetic is the exact vibe I want to re-create this season, so I had a total pinch-me moment when she shared the top five looks she’s wearing for fall.

Whether she’s swapping classic combat boots for Western-inspired styles or adding a touch of faux leather to a look, Carolan is incorporating some very fall 2023 details into her looks. And there’s no better place to stock up on these key pieces than Walmart. Its selection is an affordable mix of on-trend and timeless items that allow you to mix and match easily all season long. Faux-Leather Dress Outfit

This faux-leather look is the perfect mix of feminine and edgy, two aesthetics that are vastly different but come together cohesively in this dress. Carolan says this is her go-to for all things work whether that’s a team meeting, podcast recording, or after-hours event. I love the addition of Western-inspired boots instead of a heel to tie in a trendy element of the season.

Not to play favorites, but this look is it for me. The neckline of this knit, the slight flare of the sleeves, and of course, the silky trousers are simply divine. New York City is the inspiration behind this outfit, and it shows. Growing up in Florida, Carolan embraced the beachy, bohemian look, but her heart always yearned for chic streetwear. Since moving to NYC, she feels like she’s truly found her personal style, and it’s perfectly reflected in this chic look from Walmart.

Walmart’s wide array of products really shines through in this third look. If cropped jackets aren’t your thing, this shacket is the one for you. I adore this oversize yet put-together look. Relaxed suiting is one of Carolan’s favorite trends of the season, so she’ll no doubt wear these silky trousers on repeat.

When I close my eyes and picture my go-to everyday look for fall, this is it: a simple, crisp white top, a rich-brown trouser, and neutral accessories. A saddle bag is a classic fall touch and perfectly syncs with the Western motif running throughout this season’s trends. Carolan will be wearing this look while shopping on the weekends and grabbing coffee with her girlfriends.

When shopping for fall, Carolan starts with outerwear and builds out her wardrobe from there—two pairs of jeans, basic layering tops, a statement boot, and a few other staples create a classic and versatile fall capsule wardrobe. This effortlessly cool look from Walmart is the perfect example. You can easily swap out the white sneakers for boots, the cargo pants for trousers, or the black bag for a more colorful accessory.
