Update, 9/25/15: There's no doubt in our minds that Kim is in complete creative control of her new app, so color us unsurprised that in the first-ever fashion shoot for her virtual world, latex was her fabric of choice. From the black sweetheart bustier to the plunging hot pink bodycon dress, there are curves in spades.
Update, 6/13/15: When Kim Kardashian started showing up to events in latex dresses and bodysuits, we had our reservations that the look would catch on—it's shiny, rubbery, constraining, squeaky, and not particularly forgiving. But bless a woman who's hellbent on making something work.
Last month, she won over her first convert. Rita Ora took a page out of Kardashian's book by wearing a rose-colored latex dress to the Mert & Marcus House of Love party being held for Madonna in London. As fate would have it, Kardashian attended the very same fête, wearing (practically) the same dress.
Considering Ora always seems to have her finger on the pulse of what's next in fashion, we're not writing this trend off as a fluke. Who knows...latex might just be the next big thing. Although be warned: This is what not what to wear to work.
Here, a look at Kardashian's history with the Fifty Shades of Grey-friendly fabric.
Update, 6/3/15: She wore yet another nude latex number to a Hype Energy Drinks event in Nashville, Tennessee of all places. This proves she can pull it off anywhere (and pregnant, btw).
Update, 3/9/15: Leggings worn as pants is always a controversial look—leave it to Kim to don them in latex, of all fabrics, during Paris Fashion Week.

The reality star first made a PVC statement back in September when she attended the GQ Men of the Year Awards in this Ralph & Russo black bustier bodysuit with a sheer skirt overlay.
In our minds, this nudish pink Atsuko Kudo bustier top and skirt put Kardashian on the latex map as she celebrated the launch of her new fragrance Fleur Fatale.
The night after her nude moment, she continued on her Fleur Fatale press tour wearing a halter neck top and skin-tight white latex pencil skirt.
Phew, now we need a second to breathe.
