Singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor's new track, "All About That Bass," is not your average club banger. It may be as catchy as one, but instead of heaping praise on perfect 10s it encourages women of all sizes to accept their bodies as is. Pretty unusual, ay?
In the song's video, the 20-year-old Nashville-based crooner and a troop of ladies, as well as Vine star Sione Maraschino, groove and flaunt what they've got as they campaign to "bring the booty back," and put an end to the unattainable standards of the beauty industry.
"It's impossible for a girl to live up to what we see in the magazines...," she told Huffington Post. "Everyone is born to be different, and [yet] that's the thing that makes us all the same."
We've got to commend Trainor for not only spreading positivity to women everywhere, but using an infectious blend of R&B and soda shop pop to do so. Keep it coming, girl.
