From making up to breaking up to matching shark tattoos, it's been quite the year for Rihanna and Drake AKA Aubrih. And while rumor has it that Drizzy has been getting hot and heavy with J.Lo, we have reason to believe that RiRi is sending him yet another cryptic message.

Now let us a backtrack for a second. Last fall, Tom Ford unveiled a Drake-inspired lipstick shade as part of his second annual Lips & Boys collection. And naturally, we at MarieClaire.com had to put the pearlescent plum shade to the test. Having gotten very familiar with it, when we spotted Rihanna over Christmas donning a metallic purple pout our hearts stopped. Could it be? Yes, it reads a little more lustrous on Ri than it does in the tube, but let's be real, *literally everything* shines bright like a diamond on her.

But whether it's a RiRi-style, yeah-I-said-it message to her old flame, or mere coincidence, we're definitely eyeing the iridescent shade for our New Year's Eve night beauty look. If you are too, but weren't able to get your lips on Tom Ford's coveted shade, try Urban Decay's Vice Lipstick in Seismic, which is a similar plum-purple with shimmer.
