Holographic Hair Takes Iridescent Dye Jobs to a Whole Other Level

This year is shaping up to be a wild one when it comes to hair color. From rainbow roots to leopard print hair–2017 has us hanging on every last trend. The latest? Holographic hair.

When you consider the phenomenon that unicorn beauty has become, it's not exactly surprising that the the dye job has taken off. The internet has the memory of a goldfish, after all, and so our newsfeeds have quickly turned their attention to this enchanting look.

Seattle-based Ross Michaels Salon has been instrumental in creating the trend with their artists posting pics of all the iridescent locks. For the technique, the colorists look to Pravana Express Tones Violet, Pastels Luscious Lavender, and Blissful Blue accompanied by celeb stylist favorite Olaplex, which bonds the hair during chemical processes to prevent breakage.
