Selena Gomez has been pretty under-the-radar for the past few months, and there's a solid reason why: the star is reportedly in rehab focusing on her mental health.
Selena canceled her Revival world tour to deal with "anxiety, panic attacks, and depression" (all side effects of Lupus, which she suffers from), and is currently at a "super intense" treatment center in Tennessee. "Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health," a source tells Us Weekly. "She can go to a very dark place."
Selena has stopped working on new music while in recovery, and "hasn't told anyone when she'll be back in studio." Instead, she's been seen spending time with her mother, stepfather, and grandparents around Tennessee, where locals say she seems "happy and relaxed."
While Selena hasn't directly commented on her reported rehab visit, there's a huge stigma around mental health in this country, and her proactive attitude will doubtless have a big influence on fans who also struggle with depression and anxiety.
