A new documentary about Heath Ledger is dropping on May 3, and Spike just released the trailer—on his birthday, no less.
The film will be an "intimate portrait" of Ledger, and includes never-before-seen home videos shot by the actor himself. It will also feature a vast number of interviews with people close to him, including actors Naomi Watts and Ben Mendelsohn, director Ang Lee, and—of course—his family and friends.
"He was always a director, acting was just a way to get there," childhood friend Trevor DiCarlo explains in the trailer, while model Christina Cauchi says, "There were always cameras around. A video camera or a Polaroid camera, or the film camera. That's the only way I think of him, with the camera in hand."
