Kerry Washington on Scandal Premiere: 'The Goal is to Break Twitter'
Kerry Washington and the cast of Scandal stops by the Apple Store in SoHo.
The cast of Scandal stopped by the Apple Store in SoHo on Thursday, mere hours before the highly anticipated premiere of the show's third season.
"Social media has given a life to our show we wouldn't have without it," Kerri Washington (Olivia Pope) said. Accordingly, the cast will be live-tweeting the premiere. "The goal is to break Twitter," she quipped.
Joined by castmates including Scott Foley (Jake Ballard), Guillermo Diaz (Huck), Darby Stanchfield (Abby Whelan), and Josh Malina (David Rosen), Washington spoke candidly about the upcoming season, played a game ("Will the winner get an iPad mini?!"), and dished on her character's incredible style.
It's not fashion for fashion sake," Washington said of the show's impeccable costumes by Lyn Paolo. "The clothes are rooted in the characters' journeys."
And while the storytelling will keep us tuning in week after week, there's no doubt that we'll have our eyes set on Olivia's wardrobe throughout the season. We can't wait to see more of that stunning white Burberry Prorsum Double Duchess Caped Trench Coat from the Spring 2013 collection that we spotted in the upcoming season teaser trailer
Be sure to tune into the Scandal premiere tonight on ABC at 10:00 p.m. EST.
