Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, and pediatric nurse Harriet Sperling announced their engagement in August 2025, sharing an exclusive photo with Hello! But it wasn’t until January 2026 that fans got a better look at the royal bride-to-be’s diamond engagement ring, when the couple attended the New Year’s Day races in Cheltenham, England. Now that their wedding date has been announced, attention has once again been drawn to Harriet and Peter, and it turns out Queen Elizabeth’s grandson chose to subtly honor her with his choice of ring.

Phillips, who divorced his first wife, Autumn Kelly, in 2021, turned to a royally-approved source for his second chance at love. According to multiple royal sources, Peter purchased Harriet's ring from Pragnell, a jeweler in Mayfair, London that has connections to Queen Elizabeth's diamond engagement ring.

The late Queen's ring, which features a three-carat round brilliant-cut diamond flanked by 10 smaller pavé diamonds, was created by Philip Antrobus, a jeweler that was later acquired by Pragnell. Touchingly, the diamonds came from a tiara worn by Prince Philip's mother, Princess Alice.

Speaking of the touching link between the rings, Emily Nash of Hello! magazine said, "Peter was the late Queen's eldest grandson and they had a very close bond, so this is a lovely connection to her own story."

At the time of Peter and Harriet's engagement, Tobias Kormind, co-founder and managing director of 77 Diamonds, told Marie Claire, "The ring appears to be a timeless trilogy design, likely showcasing a central oval or round diamond, flanked by trapeze-cut or triangular side stones."

The jewelry expert added that "a similar design with diamonds of comparable quality and size crafted at 77 Diamonds would typically be priced from around £10,000 [approx. $13,500], with the final price reflecting individual choices in cut, carat, and craftsmanship."

As for their big day, a representative for Peter and Harriet announced on April 1 that they'll walk down the aisle in the village of Kemble, England on June 6.
