Donald Trump Pauses White House Address to Drink Water and It's Really Awkward

That two-handed grip...

Between spewing out hateful messages on Twitter and derogatory comments about women, immigrants, and Democratic voters, it's no surprise Donald Trump is in need of some water once in a while to wet his whistle.

However, is it just us or is it a bit weird to see the 45th President of the U.S. pause a live, televised press conference to purse his lips and chug a bottle of water?

During an appearance at the White House on Wednesday afternoon, the Leader of the Free World found his mouth had become a wee bit dry mid-speech.

In an unorthodox move for a politician—nay, any public speaker—the former reality star paused the live questioning to guzzle a bottle of Fiji water, while fixating his gaze on the television screen, much like a college freshman shotgunning a Natty Light.

"I will down this drink in less than three seconds, bruh, just watch!"

Bizarre thing for a president to do?

Yes, but what makes the move even more bizarre is the fact that in 2013, the now-president called Senator Marco Rubio a "total choke artist" after the politician drank water during his State of the Union response.

Of course, it didn't take long before Rubio made light of the ironic moment on Twitter.

Donald, next time you need some water, take your own advice and grab a glass, won't you?
