The early months of the Trump administration can all be tied together by one thing: too much news. If you follow politics, your head is likely spinning by just how many crazy things keep happening in this new White House. Which is why people like Seth Meyers are the people we need to tie it all together, and maybe, just maybe, keep us sane. (That's wishful thinking, I know.)
On Wednesday night's "A Closer Look" segment, Meyers took the time to talk about how Trump's unfounded accusations of the Obama administration wiretapping him have overshadowed his Supreme Court nominee, Neil Gorsuch. "It also doesn't hurt normal people to say I'm sorry, but it might kill Trump," Meyers joked. "I don't even think his mouth can make those words."
But one of the best lines was about Trump's friend Roger Stone, who wore the below outfit to the inauguration. "You know, how you'd dress to close an orphanage," Meyers said. "You look like an alternate timeline when Abe Lincoln was a coke dealer."
Oh, and he also pointed out that Trump said most people don't know President Lincoln was a Republican. Meaning that Trump himself likely just found that out, despite the whole "Party of Lincoln" thing. America!
