Mark your calendars, ladies, and prepare yourselves for a serious case of FOMO: Calvin Klein is sponsoring Save the Children's first-ever benefit gala on Oct. 1. The event is being held to increase awareness for Save the Chidren — the world's leading independent organization for children — and for early childhood education programs across the U.S. The evening's honorees include (wait for it...) former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (National Legacy Award) and Save the Children ambassador Jennifer Garner (National Child Advocate Award), among others. Other awards will include the National Responsibility Award, National Humanitarian Award, and the National Child Service Aware.
We know from more than 80 years of experience, that early childhood education can ensure a brighter future for a child living in poverty," said Mark Shriver, senior vice president of strategic initiatives at Save the Children. "The gala will shine a spotlight on this need and, we hope, inspire Americans from all walks of life to take action."
