"Pumpkin Spice Latte Hair" Is Fall's Big New Beauty Trend, Because of Course

But it's not basic—we promise.

The internet loves pumpkin spice lattes almost as much as it loves rapid-fire hair color trends. And so of course, an Instagram-bait shade inspired by the frothy orange stuff was inevitable.

As contrived as it is, gotta say: It's actually the most wearable of the recent hair trends. (See: galaxy hairtie-dye hairopal hair.) In fact, it's essentially deep bronze—the most fall hue of all time.

You've seen it on Emma Stone—who strikes the perfect balance between golden copper and a rich, bronzed brown. It's a darker, more dimensional approach to becoming a redhead. And there's no time like the present to try it, according to Kyle White, lead colorist at Oscar Blandi Salon.

"For fall, you should change your hair color by making it slightly darker and warmer than the bright, pale shades that worked so well in summer," advises White, adding that sun-kissed summer glows tends to fade and golden tones, like those you'll find in a PSL, bring some much-needed warmth back to the skin.

If you like your hair like you like your PSLs (red-hot and extra spicy), get inspired by the decidedly un-basic dye jobs below.
