Stars, they're just like us: Sometimes they need to pick up a side gig to make a few extra bucks. That's what Demi Lovato did, at least for a day, when she decided to moonlight as a driver for Lyft in Denver.
She was participating in "Undercover Lyft," a promotional video series sponsored by the ride-sharing company that has celebrities pose as drivers. Lovato portrayed Samantha, or "Sam," a driver who curiously had lots of opinions about Demi Lovato—she either hated her or was completely obsessed with her. She told her passengers that she was trying to be a singer, and was traveling around the country with her ex-boyfriend's brother. (That last part was true, since she's on tour with Nick Jonas and used to date Joe.)
The clip is full of awkward but fun moments, like Lovato getting a passenger to agree that Selena Gomez is a better singer and another passenger getting into a full Camp Rock sing-along. But it has to be said: Did these women really not know they were in the car with Demi? She didn't hide much, and also just happened to bring herself up in conversations for the video. But perhaps it's a testament to the Clark Kent/Superman style of disguises: just add some glasses and you're all good.
