Queen Latifah Now Designing Clothes for HSN

The Grammy winner reveals her fashion icons and her guilty pleasures as her new collection debuts online.

Queen Latifah can now add fashion designer to her list of accomplishments.

This weekend, the Grammy (and Golden Globe… and Screen Actors Guild…) winner debuted Queen Collection, her brand-new line of clothes, handbags, and outerwear, on HSN.

"I wanted my collection to reflect my personal style while giving women the tools to build a wardrobe they can feel good in," she says. "I hope to instill confidence in hundreds of thousands of women across the country."

A lofty goal, no doubt, but we have a feeling she's on to something after learning that she adapted silhouettes and styles from her own personal wardrobe to compliment a variety of body types. Our favorites? The sleek riding pants inspired by her equestrian background and a suede moto jacket.

We happen to love Queen's style, so where does she get fashion inspiration?

"Donna Karen," she tells MC's Sergio Kletnoy, who chatted her up about her style icons and guilty pleasures. "She knows a woman's body. She knows how to put her in some flattering clothing but edgy at the same time … and comfortable. I've always managed to be able to buy fly Donna Karen stuff for myself and for my mom, so we both look stylish but different, which is cool."
