FAQs
Does Sol de Janeiro offer free shipping?
Yes, Sol de Janeiro offers free standard shipping on US orders of $35 or more. Below that, standard shipping is a flat $7.50, and FedEx 2Day expedited shipping is a flat $25. Orders are processed within 1-3 business days and typically arrive 7-10 business days after that. Sol Passport members at One-Way tier or above get free standard shipping on every order.
Does Sol de Janeiro have a loyalty program?
Yes, Sol Passport Rewards is free to join with a Sol de Janeiro account and has four tiers: Sol Now Boarding, then Sol One-Way ($75+ a year), Sol Round-Trip ($200+) and Sol Upgrade ($400+). Points come from purchases, reviews and social follows, and 200 points is worth $10 off, up to $50 off for 1,000 points. You can start redeeming once you reach One-Way with 100 points. Points expire after 12 months of inactivity.
Does Sol de Janeiro give free samples or gifts with purchase?
Yes, Sol de Janeiro adds a free sample to every order placed on its site. It also runs gift-with-purchase and spend-and-save promotions that change through the year. If a return means your order no longer qualifies for a free gift, you'll need to send the gift back too, or the refund may be reduced by its retail value.
Does Sol de Janeiro have a subscription or auto-replenish option?
Yes, Subscribe to Save takes 10% off every subscription order, and subscription orders ship free. You choose how often each item arrives and can pause, swap products or cancel from 'Manage Subscriptions' in your account. Your first subscription order includes a sample. Subscriptions can't be combined with promo codes or points, and Cash App Afterpay isn't available on them.
Does Sol de Janeiro sell refills?
Yes, the Refills section has 240ml refills of the Cheirosa perfume mists, a 240ml Brazilian Bum Bum Cream refill and refills for the Rio Deo aluminum-free deodorants. It also has 1-liter value sizes of shower gels and shower oil. Value sizes are excluded from Sol Passport reward codes and other promo codes.
Can I use more than one promo code at Sol de Janeiro?
No, Sol de Janeiro allows one discount or promo code per order, and that includes free shipping offers and Sol Passport point redemptions. Coupon codes also don't work on value-sized items, bundles, sets, holiday sets or subscriptions, and those items don't count toward promo minimums.
When does Sol de Janeiro have sales?
Sol de Janeiro usually runs a sitewide sale on its own site over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and it has included bundles in past years. Through the year it also runs spend-more-save-more offers and limited-edition sets. Sign up for emails to hear about them first.
Hints and Tips
Reach One-Way to unlock free shipping: Spending $75 in a year moves you up to Sol One-Way in Sol Passport. From then on, standard shipping is free on every order, even a single travel-size mist under the $35 threshold. You can also redeem points and claim the birthday gift.
Claim your birthday mist: One-Way members and above who add their birthday to their profile and subscribe to emails get a free 30ml perfume mist with a purchase on their birthday. The code is emailed that morning and is valid for 30 days.
Buy the refill once you love the scent: The 240ml refills of Cheirosa perfume mists cost less than a new bottle, and Brazilian Bum Bum Cream comes as a 240ml refill too. Pair one with a subscription to keep favorites topped up at 10% off.
Refer a friend before a big order: Sol Passport members can give a friend $15 off a first order of $65 or more and get 300 points, worth $15 in rewards. You can send up to two referrals a month.
Save codes for full-price favorites: Promo codes and points don't work on bundles, sets or value sizes, which are already priced as a saving. Use a code on single full-size products like Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, and buy bundles without one.
What we recommend at Sol de Janeiro
Cheirosa 62 Jelly Perfume Balm: Marie Claire's Beauty Director found this alcohol-free jelly balm light and bouncy on skin, with a soft sheen. A single swipe gave as much scent as a couple of spritzes of mist and lasted as long as the brand's other fragrances. Read our full Sol de Janeiro Jelly Perfume Balm review
Brazilian Bum Bum Cream: Brooke Knappenberger ranks it the brand's "cream of the crop." She rates the guaraná and cupuaçu butter formula for firming and moisture, plus that gourmand Cheirosa 62 scent. See why it made our best Sol de Janeiro products list
What if my promo code doesn’t work?
Our team always tries to make sure any out-of-date sales or incorrect deals are not included on our pages. To do this, we check a few things, including:
- Trying the deal and checking if they are valid ourselves.
- Check we don’t have any unique, one-use promotions.
- Looking at the offer conditions to make sure you’ve got all the information.
However, there are occasions when details change or the sales may expire without us knowing. If this happens, be sure to contact us by emailing coupons.marieclaire@futurenet.com so we know.
How do we make money?
It’s completely free for customers to use the deals we have above. We’ll get a small percentage of the money spent as a commission from the retailer you shop at. As with most businesses, we do need to make money however this will never impact the price you pay. The brand will give us a small share of the profit for connecting you to them. This helps us keep going whilst saving you more money.
Simply put, the retailer makes a sale, we get a commission, and you get a deal.
