With James Corden hosting, a Carpool Karaoke interlude was inevitable at the 2017 Grammys, but we could not have predicted just how glorious it would be.
Joking that he was contractually obligated by CBS, Corden walked through the crowd to assemble his most star-studded car ride to date. Niel Diamond, Jennifer Lopez, Faith Hill, and John Legend all joined Corden in a vaguely rickety-looking cardboard car for a performance of Diamond's "Sweet Caroline." It was silly and fun and only a little lame. It was fine. And then Blue Ivy ran over to join in, singlehandedly turning this into the most adorable moment of the evening.
Yeah, so Blue Ivy literally stole the show from Neil Diamond and J.Lo. NBD. All awards show hosts should probably keep her on hand in case they have a skit that needs saving.
