These 5 Thoughtful Accessories Are the Fashion Equivalent of a "Sweet Treat"

And they'll last you longer than an iced matcha latte.

There's something about this time of year that brings out the blues in me. And, given our current climate (environmental and well…everything else), I've decided that a little treat simply isn't enough to pull me out of a funk. For a while, a daily matcha or a take-out dinner splurge would help me work through the seasonal change, but I've since decided that I need something more satisfying. So, a new justification for shopping entered the group chat: the fashion equivalent of a sweet treat.

Nothing gets my endorphins racing like the whispers of a delivery notification landing in my inbox. These days, with same-day and free overnight shipping, it's basically the same thing as stopping for your caffeinated beverage of choice—only better, because these purchases last longer than a large iced matcha.

I've rounded up some of my tried-and-true fashion sweet treats. Some, I already use (and love) daily. Others are on my list for that next annoying Tuesday or mid-week slump. (Really, I keep links I'm eyeing in my Notes app.) Not only are they incredibly chic, but they spark that small piece of joy every time I see them. I highly recommend romanticizing your everyday life this way.

A Chic Hair Clip

Regardless of how my day is going, I always have a hair clip with me. I've slowly switched all of my clips to ones from Undo Hairware. I have yet to meet someone who owns one and doesn't rave about it. I purchased these for all of the girls on my team last holiday season, and I still see them on their heads today. That is quality! It doesn't hurt that they're also so chic and elevate any outfit.

The No. 4 is my favorite—and, before you ask, yes, it holds the hair back, and does it well. The colorways I reach for the most are Avocado, Bordeaux, and Espresso. This Olive one just hit my Notes App to cure my next rainy-day mood.

A New Addition to Your Earring Stack

I'm new to earring stacks (I just got my second and third piercings in February), but I'm now always on the hunt for fun new additions to add to my jewelry collection. Nothing makes me happier than having my hair pinned back and a new earring shining under the fluorescent lighting in my office at work.

Kristen Wiig's tiny-handed Dooneese character will forever be funny to me, so that inspired my most recent fashion sweet treat: these earrings and brooch I know will make me smile every time I wear them.

These Dorsey Emerald Bezel Cut Earrings just arrived in the mail, and are already giving me cheery holiday vibes. Those, plus some other ones quickly making their way to the top of my Notes App….

Bag Charms and Key Chains That Spice Up My Routine

Bag charms are a staple these days. I've started my own little collection of Loewe ones—I love them so much. (Seriously, how can you not smile when you see this on your bag?) I also have a Tiffany & Co. Elsa Peretti Bean Key Chain and Valet Key Ring on my car key fob—the way I see it, if I have to commute to work, then I'm doing it in style.

Pouches that Keep Your Life Together

My Louis Vuitton pouches keep my life together, moving through my various purse changes with me, but there are so many other cool options out there that deserve attention. This bandana pouch keeps showing up on my FYP, and I'm about one pop-up away from pulling the trigger; I love the design, and the material is water-resistant, so it can double as a pool day bag.

I have a Call It By Your Name Trapeze Bag, and I absolutely love it, so of course I'm now eyeing a pouch from there. I was browsing the website recently and realized you can customize the products, too—love. Speaking of, Abbode has tons of cute pouches with so many customization opportunities.

Reliable Cozies

There's literally nothing better than taking your bra off after a long day—and there's also nothing quite like the feeling of slipping into something comfy immediately after. This time of year, I spend my nights catching up on my 8th go-around of Gilmore Girls while wearing the coziest pieces in my wardrobe.

I actually imagine Rory would approve of my favorite pajamas, Lunya's Soft Modal Rib Tee Short Set. The material is so soft. (I size up, as I do with everything after 5pm.) Stems is the superior brand for socks, in my opinion—I wear the Fuzzy Crew socks at home, and the Cozy Lounge are perfect with a loafer.

I have to give an honorable mention to this robe from Weezie. I love the fact that the sleeves are short, which means you can wash your face and do your skincare without having to worry about getting them wet. 10/10, Weezie. Thank you for making this.
